SOHO WALK
First developed as an aristocratic suburb for the wealthy after the Great Fire of London destroyed their homes in the City of London, Soho quickly went downhill. Firstly as the home of a series of impoverished immigrants, secondly as the bolt hole of political radicals, thirdly as an industrial hinterland to the glamorous avenues and boulevards that surround it but always as a nexus for London's sex trade.
